My son/daughter is 7, but s/he is big for his age and very athletic. Can s/he participate in your JOAD program?
Students below the age of 8 often lack the attention span and upper
body strength to safely and successfully participate in our program. Some
students are ready for archery at age 7, others are not ready until age 10.
If your student is under 8 years old, s/he may participate in the 12 noon
safety class at the discretion of the instructors, in order to evaluate the
student.
My son/daughter received a bow and arrow set for Christmas. Can s/he use this equipment in your program?
Most "toy" bow and arrow sets are not suitable for successful JOAD program use. Feel free to bring your equipmnt for inspection by the instructors, but it is likely that we will want your student to use our club-provided equipment to learn the basics of archery.
I took an archery class somewhere else. Do I still need to take the Safety class?
YES.
